THE DAILY SOUNDTRACK – 06/29/2012 Health Part Dos!

Here’s a first for you Daily Soundtrack readers… the same topic two days in a row!

It seems that quite a few people are crying about the fact that the U.S. is attempting to join the civilized world and have health care for its citizens. The people who never have to worry about healthcare (namely rich people and Republican Politicians – which is two different ways to say the same thing) are outraged that people may receive the care that allows them to live. And the people who follow everything these people say are outraged they’ll be forced to live a single day longer with insane dictator Barry O – an obviously evil man who tries to make people healthy against their WILL! That’s not the America I know! America is “Heart-Attack Burgers,” Candy Cigarettes and people who vote against their best interests. Hmm, how did that get in there? Here’s some more Obama-care.

Just Say No (Sometimes) – Young Hines
Give Me My Change - Young Hines Some of the concept of this segment is stolen directly from Gawker.com, so there. Two Governors, Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, just say “NO!” They will not be implementing health care for their citizens under any circumstances. They are heroes! They can stand on the roof of their capitals, with hands on hips like Superman and Green Lantern, and say “Good Citizens, go f*ck yourselves and die!” And actually mean it. A majority of citizens in WI elected Walker twice in the past few years… I hope they’re the first to go.

You Beat Me To The Punch – The Temptations
The Temptations Sing Smokey (1998 Reissue) - The Temptations CNN (which must be some sort of Canadian News Network) and FAUX News were dying to be first with the Supreme Court’s decision on the Affordable Health Care Act. The competition, like the excitement, ran high. So as soon as they were possibly able, they reported the AHCA mandate was overturned! And, of course, they were wrong. The CNNers seemed genuinely contrite AND as stupid as usual. The FAUXers basically said, “the information we presented may have been just the opposite of what occurred but it’s true in our hearts!” So now we have a a whole generation of people (the over 60s who watch FAUX) who believe Obama-care has been ruled unconstitutional, and they’ll go to their graves believing it… which will be soon.

Asshole – Living Colour
The Chair In the Doorway - Living Colour A congressman from Indiana (come on Indiana, don’t start going all Arizona/Florida/Texas on us) Mike Pence told a group of fellow Republicans that this Supreme Court ruling was comparable to the 9/11 attacks. Hmmm I guess I can see that… when the five infidels hi-jacked the court and fought off the four brave neo-con justices and crashed the ruling into America and all those people died. Except the dying part since the whole reason for the health care bill is to allow people to get the care they need in order to live. Way to go Mike Pence, your apology doesn’t make you any less of an assh*le. PS: Even his Republican colleagues thought his remarks were heinous, they’re the ones who ratted him out.

Whitey – Lambchop
Tools In the Dryer - Lambchop Mittens Romney is using the ruling to drum up support (meaning money, especially from corporations). He’s basically saying “I’ll overturn this on day one” (he’d have zero ability to do that as president) “Send me money so I can run against the healthcare system I implemented in Massachusetts” (that doesn’t seem like it’d be easy to do) and “I want your dollars, I’m a white guy!” (I’ll give him that one point).
- Mittens, “I’ll change America, one century at a time.” -

Polish a Turd – Rymdreglage
Plastic Dudes - Rymdreglage Sarah Palin is the dry dog turd of American Politics.

The Daily Soundtrack will be off next week and will return on 7/9/2012… until then “keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times.”
