Whilst I’m off doing super secret kinds of things I thought, “What better than to give our fine readers some stuff to check out on the fabulous Daily Soundtrack!” All of these artists have appeared on SPINBRIDGE shows (LA RADIO SESSIONS or LIVE @ BEACH MUSIC). SATELLITE – BRANDON SCHOTT
From his latest (and I believe greatest) the multi-talented Mr Schott gives us this beauty. If you gave him a comb and a vacuum cleaner Brandon could perform a symphony.

WITCH CAKES – THE POTENTIAL LUNATICS
These sister brother rocker teens totally kick some major ass. If she wants to, Emma can be her generation’s Kurdt (but without the bad ending). Get ready to break something.

TOMORROW – MIMI PAGE
Mimi Page is so incredibly talented it hurts. And she’s beautiful. And she’s nicest person you’ll ever meet. Grrrrr. It’s no wonder she was just signed to an amazing label that said, “you’re too good, do what you want.” Did I say Grrrrrr. (That extra r helps release the jealous anger)

SHE’S BRINGING YOU DOWN – CHE ZURO
Remember the stuff I said about Mimi? Well Che’s all of those things too. And her songs… hell yeah! And she’s one of the best rhythm guitar players I’ve ever been privledged to witness strumming on the ol’ guitbox. Now you may say “rhythm?” but I say finding someone who plays with such perfect time and swings is as hard as finding a good drummer who’s not on drink, dope or meds. Nearly impossible.

LIES LIKE THESE – THE FALLEN STARS

When I watched TFS perform I thought not only does this band work work work but they make me glad there’s such a thing as “American Music.” You know, it’s hard to describe but it seems to be born in the badlands and mixed with a wind that comes down off the great lakes, and you put Nudie Cohn suit on it, a New York never give up attitude and add a fire from a guitar made in Fullerton California… you know, America.
